Introducing Treedfi Council, a new leaf in Governance

We’re excited to introduce the Treedefi Council, a pivotal evolution in our journey towards a truly democratic and inclusive governance model. The Treedefi Council represents a leap forward in our commitment to the principles of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), particularly emphasizing the “G” — Governance. This new entity is designed to embody the voice and will of the TreeDefi community, ensuring that every decision reflects the collective interests and values of our members.

As outlined in Chapter 7 of our Whitepaper, TreeDefi is not just a platform; it’s a community-centric ecosystem where each member’s voice can be heard. We’re introducing a voting system that allows you, our valued community members, to vote on critical aspects such as liquidity management, feature releases, and community management.

Decentralized Exchange and DAO

Treedefi aims to deliver a decentralized exchange platform where community members and users can present and issue token-based businesses globally. With this initiative, token holders will have the power to shape the platform’s future, reflecting the true spirit of decentralization.

Our governance model ensures that token holders, particularly those with a significant COT staking quantity corresponding to their VIP level, can leverage the utility token’s value in a burgeoning market. Treedefi is entering the crypto space with innovation, aiming to attract new backers with a professional team and a governance model based on a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).

Using Snapshot⚡ for Initial Steps

To kickstart this journey, we’re leveraging Snapshot — a decentralized voting platform that ensures security, transparency, and ease of use. Snapshot will serve as the foundational tool for our community to vote on key issues, including liquidity management, feature releases, and community management strategies. This approach allows us to deploy our governance system rapidly and efficiently, ensuring that your voice is heard from day one.

A Stepwise Approach to Decentralization

In alignment with our ESG focus, implementing a DAO signifies our commitment to a community-led entity with no central authority. This approach ensures full autonomy, transparency, and allows for every aspect of the platform to be publicly audited.

While the initial phases of Treedefi development require fast and agile decision-making by our team, we are dedicated to gradually transitioning governance to our community. This will start with major features deployment and stabilizing the platform, eventually handing over full control to our community, as you have experienced with the release of the past features.

In line with our commitment to a community-driven ecosystem, the rollout of the Treedefi governance model will be progressive, as outlined in our whitepaper. This step-by-step approach ensures that our platform remains agile and responsive to the community’s needs while gradually increasing community involvement in governance decisions.

We will start with essential governance functionalities, enabling token holders to vote on critical proposals. Over time, we will introduce more sophisticated features, such as delegated voting and advanced proposal mechanisms, to enhance the governance experience and empower our community further.
