Step forwards in the Path to Decentralization

As we discussed in our latest bulletin, we are moving forward with the establishment of a truly democratic and inclusive governance model through the introduction of the Treedefi Council. This initiative is a significant milestone in our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, focusing particularly on “Governance.” By integrating the collective voice and will of the TreeDefi community, we ensure that every decision is a reflection of our members’ collective interests.

The governance model we are introducing is crafted to allow token holders, especially those who invested in COT, to maximize the utility token’s value within a dynamic market. Treedefi’s entry into the cryptocurrency market is marked by innovation, backed by a governance framework founded on the principles of a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO).

Leveraging Snapshot for Transparent and Secure Voting

In line with our roadmap, we confirm we are using Snapshot as our go-to decentralized voting platform, acclaimed for its robust security, transparency, and user-centric design. This tool enables our community to actively participate in voting on crucial issues from the outset, marking a significant step towards the effective deployment of our governance model.

In anticipation of our upcoming voting platform, we want to ensure that every member of our community is prepared to engage in the decision-making process. Here’s a generic overview of the voting procedure we aim to implement, designed to be user-friendly and accessible to all community members:

Prepare for Voting: Before the voting begins, ensure you’re informed about the criteria for participation, such as holding a specific token or meeting certain community guidelines. Familiarize yourself with the voting process and any tools or wallets you might need.

Accessing the Voting Interface: Once our voting platform is live, you will access it through a specified URL or through our main website. This platform will be chosen for its ease of use, security, and transparency.

Review Proposals: Upon entering the voting platform, you’ll find a list of current proposals, each with detailed descriptions about their objectives, expected outcomes, and any other relevant information. Take your time to understand each proposal and its implications for the community.

Casting Your Vote: Select the proposal you wish to vote on and choose your position — whether you support the proposal, oppose it, or prefer an alternative option, if available. The voting mechanism will be designed to be straightforward, ensuring every member can easily participate.

Confirming Your Vote: After making your selection, you will confirm your vote. This step is crucial for ensuring that all votes are accurately recorded. Depending on the platform’s design, confirmation may be as simple as clicking a button.

Awaiting Results: Once your vote is cast and the voting period ends, the platform will tabulate the results. The outcome will reflect the collective voice of our community, guiding the future direction of our initiatives.

It’s important to note that specific details about the voting mechanism, including the use of blockchain technology for transparency and security, will be shared closer to the launch of our platform. Our goal is to foster an inclusive and democratic environment where every community member’s voice is heard and valued.
